Hi Guys! I joined originally back in the early 2000's (IIRC), I have had some terrible health conditions trouble me for a while and lost interest in the hobby, and the forums I was a member of. My health has improved some now and I'm engaging more and more into getting back in the hobby. Life member of NMRA, I prefer steam over diesel, scratch building & craftsman kits to ready to run. I like it like this because back in the day, 60's 70's, 80's, etc, except for some brands of locomotive, all the rtr cars were trash, and not worth the money you paid for them. While I know that the situation has changed, with the rtr cars, their prices are too high IMHO. I can get a craftsman kit, paint etc, and have many pleasant hours building the car.
Welcome back! Its great your doing better. I agree with you 100% on actually building models. How far did you get on your layout before your health issues?
Welcome Carey. If you are the person I am thinking of, you have painted some HO locomotives for someone using the actual GM&O paint from the old Porter shops. I could be wrong here. It would not be the first time.
