Jim, Do you have any photos you can post? For those interested in Doodlebugs here is a great resource site: http://www.northeast.railfan.net/doodlebugs.html Yours, John
drken, To the best of my knowledge a doodlebug is a self-propelled passenger coach which had articulating trucks, they were the granddaddy’s to the RDC and a railbus is a very lightweight type passenger rail vehicle (typically non-articulated or rigid frame) that shares many aspects of their construction with a bus, usually using a bus, or modified bus body, and having four wheels on a fixed base. Any one care to add? John
A link to a photo of the doodlebug (and other stuff) I suppose it is the green "bus". Which chassie works with it? http://searails.com/nmrants2011.html Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the green one is the Nn3 Brill Raibus they also mention.
So, the only railbus I own is my Marklin Schienenreinigungswagen. It appears that the term has been abused as I've seen ICE trains labeled as such. It'll be nice to get a little more variety in that area.
A Doodlebug and RPO couch would be perfect for my railroad. Wish I could see pics.Price would be nice to know too.
