I just noticed an add in RMC page 38 March 2001.

    And I quote:

"Track Clearner ACT-6006 cleans your track and leaves a conductive coating that will enhance current flow. Recommended for use with DCC and sound systems. Inhibits oxidation formation on tracks. Can be used with all popular track-cleaning cars. Recommended and Approved by : Wangron Zimo Lenz Digitrax"

Has anyone used this product and are you happy with it? I haven't noticed this product until now.

I bought the industrial grade direct from Aero-Car Technology who makes the same thing. We used it on our PCB's at Motorola. If you ask for the public retail product, you will get the ACT-6006, but is the same thing, only not packaged in Quarts or gallons. Use it very sparingly, a drop or two goes a long way. This does not collect dust, or get gooey unless you are wasting it, and it is expensive. We were making contact with gold to gold contacts in milli volts and had to use it, its good! A run will carry current, so use a Q-tip or split tooth pic, or wipe an inch or so with a canvas cloth patch. That will do for about 30 feet of clean track, it is NOT a cleaner, clean FIRST.

Sounds like it would be good. I'm not sure where I would go to get the industrial stuff. If you can get it at a chain store, we might have it here in Canada... I suspect it will be a lot cheaper than buying this stuff in the bottle they provide.
