Its been a while since I got this Athearn CN C44-9W in a trade with a friend, but I have determined the future of this inaccurate Athearn model. Inspired by another modelers project, I'm converting it to a correct CN C44-9WL. I am completing my extensive parts list (in the $300 range so far), but there is one thing I was speculating. I have seen modelers use scale lenses for the headlights, but I'm not sure which are the best to use. I'm going to be using micro surface mount LED's so I have some room for lenses. Other than that I have my other details figured out (Kaslo cab, brass handrails, decals, paint, grab irons, etc...) If any of the experienced detailers can offer any advice, please do. I'm open to any suggestions. I posted a couple pictures to show where I am so far.
