I was wondering if any of you had heard about this? Seems as though some of you are DC two railers and I thought you might get a kick out of this...

Apparently MTH is coming out with something called protosound 3-2 or 2-3 (cant remember which) but it allows you to run the locomotive in either AC, DC, 3 rail or 2 rail operation with minimal fidgeting. Just thought Id give a heads up for anyone of you who hadnt heard about it.

Yes, big news. Which ever way you decide to run it, it comes with scale sized flanges instead of the big tin plate style associated with Lionel and other 3-Rail trains. As I understand it, you slide a switch and unscrew the middle rail roller and attach the wire to one side and the ground continues to work on the other. Supposedly will allow you to run AC or DC 3 or 2 rail. MTH has put out some nice steam in the past, and if this takes off, O scale may just become a bit more competative with the other gauges. We shall see. :D
