A very interesting model. I have always enjoyed the Sears houses; they are so iconic and just have a nostalgic vibe to them. The catalog artwork just has something to it that can't be recreated anymore. By today's standards though, they probably aren't much, but their history makes them so intriguing. I wish we could still order a kit and be able to build an entire home out of it. That's just so surreal to me, but at the same time, it totally seems like an 'American' thing to do.

I haven't done a wood kit in a long time, but all those pieces look really nice. Sears houses would fit almost any era of layout and are relatively easy to modernize. Changing windows and scenery would be enough to put a structure in any era. I think we are seeing a bit of a return of the Craftsman style in residential building, which I think would contribute to the popularity of models like this. Scale Model Homes definitely has some potential in the HO market. Some of the larger buildings on their Facebook page would be awesome in HO scale too. With access to a laser cutter and a 3D printer, there are endless possibilities.

That is very interesting and in the time period I'm working on. I've also been in two of those in Green Bay and helped re-roof one. So I will be returning to view your video again. Thanks.
