I am one of those who hasn't really appreciated the steam selection available. I have been just as happy in contemporary diesels as those who love steam. But last night I finally got to operate the new Spectrum Consolidation. I have to say the Bachman has hit a home run - with the bases loaded. This engine is a great looker, and excellent runner, smooth and quiet and even, in acceleration. For the first time, I want to get a steam engine in N. I can run an exercusion train with it, just like BC Rail has done with the 3716 CP Consolidation. Check it out, you'll love it. [ 16 March 2002, 22:05: Message edited by: rsn48 ]
Rick, this is just what I am afraid of! I just know that when I see one 'in the flesh' I will have to obtain one
I'm rather tempted to pick up a second one. After all, I may want more than one train running on my branchline. Or things may get tough, and require a helper.
I WILL have to have a second 2-8-0. My plan is to wait for the B&M version to arrive, however, patience may not allow it, in which case I will need some B&M decals to make a running mate for my MEC version. Alan, you NEED this locomotive!
