I noticed on https://www.jmri.org/help/en/html/hardware/sproggen5/hardware.shtml New SPROG 3 Plus (USB dongle) and Pi-SPROG 3 Plus (Pi Hat expansion board) DCC command stations, with the following features: (emphasis mine) Two track outputs allow simultaneous running and programming. Main track output up to 2.5 Amps Flexible second track output features: Up to 2.5 Amp output Can be disabled when not programming Can follow main track output when not programming allowing locos to be driven onto an isolated programming track. Can be used as an auto-reverse power district output (no service mode programming available in this mode. CAN interface (to be enabled in a future firmware release) for full CBUS connectivity. Also, https://www.sprog-dcc.co.uk/download-page includes links to an updated Raspberry Pi OS image supporting the SPROG products, and to instructions for creating the image yourself. Those instructions indicate that the new Pi SPROG 3 Plus runs the GPIO UART serial interface 4 times faster (460.8 Kbaud) than the Pi SPROG 3, and adds RTS/CTS handshaking. I guess that's needed to support simultaneous running and programming, as well as the (future) CBUS interface. SPROG also has a separate CANISB product coming, that is a JMRI-supported, isolated CAN bus interface. As of yet, no release date(s) have been published. Disclaimer: I am a very happy Pi-SPROG 3 user!
