I'm new to this forum but have been in model railroading for more than 30 years (HO scale). My new layout is 100% DCC and I finally have everything up and running with my NCE system. I've installed a decoder in two of my locos but I don't have the time or the desire to do any more. I have 80 more locomotives that I need to install decoders in, and I'm looking for someone to do this work. I would like to know of anyone who you would recommend to do this work for me.

    Welcome to the board.

    Litchfield Station
( Link to Litchfield Station) does decoder installs at a reasonable price. They are located in the Phoenix AZ area. Right next door to NM.

    Hello Zachery,

I live in Gunnison, Colorado but I've been to Farmington. I have a guy you will be interested in to do decoder installations for you. I've used him for about 10 locos and he has done a fabulous job for me. I couldn't be happier. He lives in Grand Junction, CO which is just up the highway from you. Probably about 5 hours drive. I'm about 3.5 hours away but I always ship them. It usually only take a day or two.

The person you want to contact is:

    Michael Dove
    dccrailroader@msn.com

He can give you the specifics about pricing, what decoder to use, and what his turn around time is like.

    Hope this helps you.

    Zachery and Jerry,
I'd like to welcome you both to Trainboard. I'm sure you've looked around and discovered there are other forums here that might interest you as well. I look forward to other posts. If you have a layout, why not go to that appropriate forum and introduce yourself there and tell us a bit about your layout.

You can of course store pics of your layouts in Railimages (free and by donation), and insert these pics into posts that you do here at Trainboard and other forums you might frequent.
