..70 year old n scaler from SE PA. I'm presently constructing a 34"x48" RR that I call the Coalcracker Branch Line. It's based on the famous Gorre and Dephetid, which I loved a s a kid. I especially liked the Varney ads using John Allen's layout. I play with cars too. Yes those are photos of Reading PA taken by me being used as background. Thanks for having me!
Dennis, welcome to Trainboard. You will find some of us in your age group (so we speak the same language). I like your layout so far.
Welcome to TrainBoard! Many of us are very familiar with the John Allen influence. This many years later, at times I wonder if he'd pleasantly surprised to be well remembered.
Never too young to start, yes? Welcome aboard, and the backdrop looks great (and good job camoflaging the joint!)
Hi Dennis, welcome to the TrainBoard, happy to have you on board. I used to live in your neck of the woods 50years ago, even went to an Iron Horse Ramble in Harrisburg where we got up close and personal with 2102.....beautiful machine. I like your design and progress...nice!
Welcome to Trainboard, Dennis! Wow! I had visions of Allen's floor to ceiling in N gauge! Leaves alot of room for the imagination.
