While we appreciate input from our members that is intended to help protect others from bad dealings, we do not allow these kinds of posts at TrainBoard.

Some people will have great luck with a particular vendor, while others will relate a horror story.

Whenever something positive is posted about a vendor, someone will usually counter with a story relating the opposite experience.

Then, it follows that we are threatened by the vendor to remove the post.

We have neither the time, nor money, to be drawn into such battles.

We encourage you to shop with TrainBoard advertisers as we believe them to be of the highest quality.

If you have a problem with a TrainBoard advertiser, or just want to relate a bad experience with any retailer, please let us know by e-mail. This is done in confidence and we do appreciate hearing about problems that people have.

We may, or may not, be able to help you - depending on the circumstances.

We have successfully resolved a number of issues in the past - most of which are caused by simple misunderstandings.

    Thank you.

Well I purchased some MT track before I knew that it wouldn't fit into my suitcase. So I figured I'd use it in some way and get used to it. So I built a small loop on some Foamboard that I also had. Can't wait to run trains tomorrow.
    I'm off and running now.

Bummer Loren, so Diesels won't make the radius? Ouch cause I'm a Diesel guy. SO I guess it's time to think of plan "B" then. A slightly larger layout and make my self a custom cardboard box to go around the layout. Oh well thanks for the info and I'll find another way that all. But I will be taking trains on the road with me. ;-)

Glen, I have a shadow box layout, and its smaller they your suitcase. What I do is cut off the front truck couplers and install a pilot. That allows the front truck to swing on a tighter curve. You will also be limited to shorter cars like 40' boxcars and such, but it can be done.

That's really nice John, and I guess it can be. I'm sure going to give it my best go. I think it would be nice entertainment out on the road and sure would be neat for my Grand Son's when I get there.
Thanks for sharing it sure helps

Speaking of entertainment Glen.....my silverware box layout, (post #28) flew to Ohio with me for the 2005 NTS. I didn't trust it to be checked in so I took it aboard the plane and put it on the floor between my feet. Midway through the flight, somewhere over the unknown below, I got bored so I picked up the layout and put it on my lap and proceeded to 'check' it over. There was a lady sitting next to me reading a dime store novel and when she glanced over at the layout she quickly closed her book and turned to me and began to ask me questions. Needless to say, several passengers and one of the flight attendants stopped in their tracks as they passed by and I had fun talking about the layout.

A small layout that you can 'pull out of nowhere' can sure garner rapt attention. Do like John mentioned and you will be able to turn some heads.
