Now that I know they’re on the way, I can’t wait! Bet it’ll be the same, when my truck is finally built!! Still 2 1/2 weeks to build time though.
Locomotives WERE supposed to arrive today. UPS decided they would hold them until tomorrow, Sat 3/6. Now supposed top arrive between 2PM and 7PM. Stay tuned! The wait continues, briefly! A quick check on tracking, shows Salt Lake City, UT as of 1:09AM on 3/4. Gonna be interesting to see when it hits Commerce City, CO and reaches Longmont.
They have arrived!! Very nice, and veery heavy! Operation test next, with video to follow, I hope! Engineers side 3/4 front Head on Cab interior - Need better shot! Fuel tank detail Cab doors open/close and has a working smoke unit as well.
Very nice! Does this model relicate the as-delivered units, before the various additions and modifications to improve their breathing?
Yes. No extra ductwork, rooftop air tanks etc... Wouldn't mind trying to figure out how to add the extra ducts to the sides, on one unit. Need photos though! What I really need now is Dyno car #10, that always trailed the KM's when operating! Need plans, or a decent spot to start with a possible kitbash.
Better late, than never! A short video of the New Krauss Maffei in action. Now to program the other unit, test it, and maybe a short video of both units consisted. Delay because I had to clean TMCC throttle, as it sat for WAY too long, and a battery decided to leak!!
Wouldn't mind trying to see how difficult it would be to add the extra ducting along the sides, of at least 1 of my units! Or the rooftop airtanks. Gotta check my library about that though! Or the photos I've been able to find and save, from Pinterest.
