I am thinking about making a branchline on my N scale layout Nn3, and am wondering if DCC will fit Nn3 models ? I suspect so, since they are generally modified N scale equipment, but I thought I would check with you all first, before I move ahead with plans!! Thanks!! John, go to the Digitrax page and look for the DZ121 decoder. Also, see the thread a few lines down about the new Lenz (it is mispelled in the thread title) decoder. The DZ121 is, you guessed it, designed for Z scale locomotives. It is about as big as a dime. So in direct answer to your question, yes, it is possible to DCC an Nn3 locomotive. ------------------ Corey Lynch Pres - Rensselaer Model RR Society, NEB&W RR http://www.rpi.edu/~lynchc/Railfanning/railfanning.htm - My Site http://www.union.rpi.edu/railroad/ - NEB&W
Thanks Corey!! I knew you would know !! Right now this is just in the development stage, but I though it would add a little variety to the layout !! Happy Modelling!! John ------------------ The Santa Fe and Southwestern, Chief of the Southwest!! Proud to be NARA Member #14
JCater, I put one of those digitrax DZ121's in the smoke box of an HO 0-6-0 and a Soundtrax DSD in the tender. Works just fine! ------------------ When in doubt, empty your magazine. Member #33
