I rehooked up my layout after getting all Kato track and their plug and play parts. Wired up my atlas dcc to the generator and the switchs to the generator also plugged it in but got nothing no commander on or sdwitchs working. Could some one please tell me what is wrong?

Well it sounds like something is connected wrong. First step is to isolate where it's bad.

    1. Disconnect the pwer supply and connect it to the wheels of an engine to see if you have power this way. if you get power then you go onto the track set up. if you get no power there is something wrong with your DCC unit.

    2. I'm thinking maybe you tried to run power off of your DCC unit for switches. I may be wrong but I think you need to power your switches in another fashion with a power pack. i'm just basing this on how you phrased your comment.

    3. do you have any reverse loops? these will cause a short in your power.

    4. start eliminating track in sections till you can get an engine to run on part of it. There may be a short on one of the pieces of track somehow.

Basically you have to trouble shoot your circuit very methodically. Do you have a track plan you could show us or a picture of the layout? maybe we can help you that way. It is probably something very simple that you may have overlooked.
