The NCTRY was a short lived operation of some former Rock Island tracks. From what I can find out, they lasted less than a year. Then quit.

What happened to those tracks? Somewhere I read that the O-K-T may have picked up the operation? Is this true?

My understanding is that the NCTRY did operate the former RI tracks (right after the bankruptcy) from Fort Worth to Chico, TX where a very large conglomeration of rock crushers reside. (and maybe other trackage as well...not sure)

The OKKT did indeed pick up this operation, and today it exists as UP's Duncan sub.

    Doug-

By any chance, would you have a source that could tell me a date for when the NCTRY was acquired?

    Thanks!

If they can't tell you, it just didn't happen. ;) If you don't feel like signing up, let me know and I'll post the question and report back.

    Doug-

If you could ask them for me, I'd sure appreciate it! Obviously, there's no need to hurry.
