NS owned and operated shortline here in VA. they operate with GP15-1's and a few MP15's.

All GP15-1's are former CR, except for the 1437, which wears NS paint, and is currently being used by NS.

    NPBL GP15-1 roster: 1400, 1430(CR blue), 1442, 1451, 1437(NS), 1435

Great photos! I knew NS supplied units for them, but have not been up there in 10+ years...

1431 is still painted in CR Operation Lifesaver scheme...

NPBL? What does that stand for, please? Also, I see the GP15-1 letters stenciled on the cab. [IMG]

Yes they had MP15 and SW1500's

Before that they had SW1200's and the last NPBL SW1200 is at the purdue plant, serviced by the NPBL. loco is #101 ;)

Does this company still actually exist? Believe I had heard of it. But had thought it was long ago absorbed. Guess I'm wrong?
