Does anyone have measured drawings or details on Norfolk Southern's Top Gons? I'm looking for details of the square bottom tubs. I know that NS rebuilt many versions of coal gons, but I'm looking for anything on the most common, which I think are G85Rs. Also are Top Gons used in rotary dump only? From what I can see from a few railfan pics is that the square tub does not open. If anyone is near the operating areas of these, would it be possible to get a few close up pics with a yard stick? As long as it doesn't require trespassing, of course! Thanks!!
pretty sure their rotary dump only, Seen them up close and never have seen any type of doors on the bottom.....Mike
