CR NS's former CR units

There's quite a few with worse rust than that. Many of the old dogs are rusted right through. Even the famous Maersk SD40-2 has holes in the doors and a case of Great Stuff foam holding the nose together. I'll see if I can dig up some shots.

NS 8465 resting in the sun before the next trip. Anybody know if this was LMS or Conrail?

 

Nothing from inside. I thought I got some of the foam drizzling out of the holes but I must have dumped them. Still looking so don't give up the ship.

 

Looks like LMS, judging by the spot on the nose where the lettering was... NS Diesel Locomotive Roster - GE Dash 8-40CW (D8-40CW) Nos. 8314-8467 yes, LMS.

 

RSD-12. As I recall, the trucks were swapped from retired SD35s in the 80s.
