Does anyone have any photos or info regarding the NYC when it passed thru Metamora, IN? I am trying to find photos of the station, water tower, etc. I have tried the obvious sites for NYC and Metamora, but have come up short.
The tourist line that parallels the canal , and crosses it right in all the midst of the Ye Olde Boutique restaurants and souvenir stores, was the former ? If it was NYC, the TT's have old postcards, and even if it wasn't -the local historical society must have tons of stuff; since local historocal color is the whole raison d'etre of Metamora.

Wizard, welcome to Trainboard! I used to moderate the NYC forum we had on here, but my personal experience was on the Mohawk Division in New York state. I would suggest that you try local libraries and historical groups for photos, as that's where I found all the stuff I got about my home town, Little Falls, NY.
