    Hi Boxcab50,

I just registered and as I'm trying to figure out how to use the forum's "elaborate" system I stumbled onto your interest in the Olympian 'Skytop Observation". I have
one of the Walthers O scale kits of this car, with trucks and interior.

I'm trying to contact some of the "holders" of slides or photos of these cars to get permission to use one of the photos of an "actual" skytop lounge car that members probably have. This is the only site I've bookmarked on my Mozilla system........so...I believe it to be the source of a lot of skytop shots.

Maybe I'm away off in left field from what you're looking for.......for sure. But..maybe you could give me a tad bit of advice on how to "wade" through this forum's system to get to what I'm after.

I don't want to be taken by the hand or "baby sat" but there mus be some simple directions I missed when I registered that would get me a better handle on contacting or listing my interest. I clicked on "new posts" and it comes back with "jump". I've clicked on "jump" and that doesn't work. I'm kinda of going in circles and missing the major "quantum leap" that is right in front of me and I'm missing.

I have this O scale kit, I want to sell it, I'm looking for someone that has some photos of one of these cars that I can work out some kind of deal to use the photos.

I have autoCAD skills, can do drawings, sketches that kind of thing if that would be of interest to trade for use of the photos.

I want to sell the car kit on eBay. I've tried to do an Adobe Illustrator illustration of the car from some jpegs I've referenced but it is just way to time consuming for where I want to be.

    your comment..............?

    Thanks

I am not sure where to get pictures of this model. Other members who see this post can psot model pictures here or contact you by PM. The forum where you originally posted is probably a lot of prototype discussion, but it certainly can have model information, too. This forum (Inspection Pit) is primarily models and model discussion. It may have more traffic than the Milwaukee Forum. I have sent you a Personal message or a PM explaining this. Notification of that message will be at the top of any TrainBoard (TB) page.

Milw Road Skytop Observation car kit.

    Thanks Flash Blackman,

I'm not necessarily looking for shots of the model as much as pics of the prototype to utilize to help describe/illustrate what the kit could "represent".

I had worked at Walthers in the mid-'70s as art director in charge of catalog production and all the advertising in the national railroad oriented hobby magazines. I knew the owner of one of these cars and helped set up the relationship for the using it for reference in designing the car kit. I thought I'd get time to build the car because of the involvement I had but now it is not of such importance versus someone that "really" is in love with this unique car and would rather quite enjoy building it.

So, I'm looking for prototype reference shots to put together a simple ad to help "sell" the car kit.

I'm also appreciative of the help in steering me to the right area of the TrainBoard forum.

I also have a Walthers injection molded waffle box car kit and a Menasha Woodenware box car kit to sell as well....the Menasha car has been started and I believe has all the parts to complete it (I'll verify all that, of course).

    Sincerely
