I was sure I posted this question earlier but I can not find it now..: I painted on grimey black to my mogul's drivers by holding it in place, powering loco at a crawl while holding tiny brush with paint against them..It worked out fine. Rods didn't hit brush when held strategically. Now I clean driver treads same way. I soak a Qtip with 90% alcohol and hold it against slow spinning drivers..tender done by hand, of course. So, general question about driver slippage..: Does cleaning by slipping drivers or even massive slipping pushing cars up steep grade cause any harm to treads ? So far an HO Bach mogul and ten wheeler only...Might even be possible on the Bach RS3 I'd suppose..
