The local radio talk show had someone call in about seeing a "passenger train" coming thru Odessa. Does anyone know if a directors' special came thru, or was it the Sunset being rerouted?
Too bad they did not say if it was silver with red, white and blue stripes or yellow with red stripe and gray roof.
Don't know for sure, but I would guess it was the following. It is UP / Operation Lifesaver Safety Train. They use it to catch gate and light runners at road crossings. They caught maaaaaaaany in El Paso. The SP & MP heritage units would fit this area and into DFW. Only my guess as it was here as late as Sunday. Don't know when it departed. Pretty cool, huh!
