In my last video, I used a light ring I made from a web site I found: http://www.instructables.com/id/Build-ring-light-for-your-camera/ You use 3 rings of LEDs. 70 mm 90 mm 120 mm By placing the LED rings inside each other, you make a real nice camera light. No shadows for close up shots. Each ring is made to work on a car so each runs off 12v. I got a 12V 3800ma rechargeable battery pack from Amazon to power it instead of what the site said. The power pack has a switch on top and a battery condition indicator on the side. I hot glued an old UV filter to the frame. The frame is actually made from a left over piece of plastic coated card stock. Just thought I would share this simple idea. Which leads into another use of the rings - another thread.
Excellent information Dave for improving our images. Thank you for sharing and it really isn't so off topic as you may think.
