Does anyone have any information on Oklahoma Red after the year 1924 ?? Oklahoma Red was a hobo and thief during the period from 1910 - 1924 who "rode the rails." A book was published about him in 1924, in which his death is described falling from a freight car and being dragged. (An ugly way to go, eh ... ?) There was a movie based on the book in 1928. BUT -- Oklahoma Red was alive and robbing stores in Des Moiines in 1929 !!! -- Evidently years after the hobo's death. Was this the original Oklahoma Red or an imposter who had seen the book or movie ??? Anyone know anything about this mystery ????
