...With a new '63 Chevy in front, which sold for around $3,000 back then and now go for $50, 000 - $60,000. Doug
Pan Am 707, wow! All those classic cars as well. Oh, haaay-there's a couple of PA's in that shot too!
Oh, yeah. The train was an excursion (Golden West Railfan Tours) that had stopped and let most of those folks off to take photos. I guess the others arrived in the cars parked there.
i owned a super sport 1963 dang good car . four speed slush box 350 for power. man got a lot of tail in that rig. very comfy car too.
Obviously, if it had a 350, it was a used car having had the engine replaced or bored out, right? "...got a lot of tail..." You mean squirrels got into it? Doug
Couldn't have been bored out to 350. A 327 at 60 over is only 336cid. A 350 is a 327 with just shy of a quarter inch more stroke added. 283, 327 or 409 were your passenger car V-8 displacement options in 1963. First year for the 350 was during 1967.
Wow, took a lot to keep those tea kettles running back then. Now it's maybe 7 workers to keep the diesels running...
Now your just showing off. So, they had to redesign the block for the 350? Because it's still basically a Chevy small block. Doug
