When I got this Bmann Caboose in the mail last Monday I decided it was much too big, 4 windows and the door, for my modeling style. So I got to work. 5 days later I now have this. Jim
I agree with your perception of the original car. To me it appears as though it could not decide to be caboose or passenger. This looks much better!
Thanks guys. Box, Yes I did have to cut the wires. No way around it. It is not a problem to do it or resplice. I just wondered if there was a way I did not know about. Jim
Fine looking job. I have been bugged by the size too, but that includes more than just the length. I presume you just shortened the model?
Robert, Yes, it is shortened. Two windows gone. I'm really surprised that the designers of this caboose didn't use a ruler to measure it's dimensions. I thought about taking out a couple of feet width wise, but decided it would be very difficult on this model, what with electric lights and centerline doors. I've narrowed cars before and they never seemed to run correctly. My fault. I'm happy with this car and there is probably 8 hours in the job. Jim
