hard to believe. i million views I joined Flickr in 2017 and went Pro fairly soon after and it just seems to grow and grow this pic seems to have really hit the spot over the last few weeks A lost landscape in a pic taken by my dad in July 1960 at Sheffield Victoria station in July 1960 with the B1 4-6-0 under the 1500V DC wires of the cross pennine Woodhead Route. This photo was on a mixed up roll of 6x6cm (2 1.4" square) and I have spent some time sorting the negatives out into order by lining up the cut marks on the original Ilford FP3 film. Taken on either hir Rollieflex or Yashicamat Twin lens reflex cameras. I inherited the Yashicamat and also a Lubitel from him when he decided to go all Super 8! I always bring my gear when I visit my mom in Santa Barbara https://www.flickr.com/photos/152010806@N03/albums/72157714082012928 Love the railways of Thailand. When we first visited it was like walking back into British railways in the 1950s https://www.flickr.com/photos/152010806@N03/albums/72157713932114782 But my main theme now is U.K railways from the late 1970s to the present day. During the late 1980s through to 1996 I worked as a sports photographer travelling the country with a bag full of Canon F1s and lenses up to 400mm F2.8 ( A dustbin on a stick) and cartons full of Fuji Reala and Kodachrome. Happy days Many a happy lunch hour sat beside a main line somewhere Flying Scotsman on its return from Australia carefully approaches a road bridge in Grindleford. The track had been regraded and no-one knew if it would get under! April 1990 Kev
