I went to Ubon Ratchathani to settle some sundry business then I picked up my trusty D70s and head to the railway station

I'd let it speak for itself.

Is one of the passenger cars six axle? Or are all the passenger cars in Thailand four axle?

Also, the engine cabs remind me of some Australian engines.

    Good pictures. Thanks.

All of SRT's passenger cars are 4 axles and most of road engines are 6 axles.

    SRT-FAN.

Ubon Ratchathani. The city next to the Mun (Moon) river.

The rail head on the line from Bangkok - the end of the line..

A bridge was never built to cross the river and extend the line into Ubon and on to NKP.

    I WAS THERE in 1970 and 1971 - 36 years ago.

I did get over to the station in the first two weeks I was there. I knew that it would best to go then as my time would be pressed for other reasons over the next year.

    Good to see the pictures.
