Well I dood it. Katocised my Tech 7 which is now controlling the two Kato turnouts that will be under, or so near, the proposed parking garage as to be difficult to throw manually like they once were. Removed the turnouts last night and they went into a pan of water to remove scenic materials. That done I removed the backs of both to let them dry out and inspect them. After that the innards got a light spray of WD-40 and they were reassembled. Today I drilled the holes in the layout where the control and power wires run to underneath the layout, hooked the power converter to the AC power on the back of the Tech 7 and hooked up the turnouts and reinstalled them. Lo and behold everything worked like a charm.

My tech 7 has a current limiter, the manual white plunger looking device that when engaged prevents the power from exceeding 4.5 volts to the track. It also has a voltmeter hooked up to it that is digital. It is for my little M of W self propelled car with crane that cannot exceed that voltage.

Now I wait for the structures in particular the parking garage before I restore any scenic materials.
