Hello All: I recently bought several undecorated Intermountain and P2K covered hopper kits for a great price and have some questions about painting and decaling these cars. First, did any northeastern roads (e.g. EL, Erie, NYC, PRR, Conrail, B&O, C&O, etc.) own or lease a 4427 high side covered hopper like the P2K model? Second, I know the Intermountain 4750 covered hoppers are offered by Intermountain decorated for Penn Central, but I believe their choice of “PC” green is way too dark. So, I plan to paint and decal at least two kit for Penn Central. I checked Microscale, but they don’t offer a decal set specifically for this car. Does another decal manufacture offer them?
