Is there a place, or can we make a place here on TB, to store a databse of paint formulas that match our favorite manufacturer's "out of the box" models? I've seen a few sites/topics around but they seem incomplete at times.

For me, I'd love to get a recipe to perfectly match the "Mandarine Orange/Red" used on Atlas's latest batch of SLSF GP38s so I can update the "Chevy Engine Red" used on my current fleet.

Anybody else have thoughts or ideas on this?

    thx! -Mike

It would also be nice to have one place to post what paint strippers work with which manufacturers shells. This could be in addition to the paint recipes that you suggest. They both seem to fall into the same category.

    Mike,

Sounds like a great idea for an actual website? I'm not sure what format we could use here in Trainboard?

We are always open to ideas

I would be willing to add a page to my website that would list this information. I can see at three categories of information: 1) Paint match for RTR models, 2) Types of strippers that work for different mfgs, & 3) Thinning ratios for different paints when airbrushing. Can anyone think of other useful categories? Once these are semi-set, I will post a topic that asks for info from those modelers that have already figured all of this stuff out.
