I just stripped my CN 40' box car. At first things didn't go as planned, as the paint didn't want to come completely off. I was using Simple Green and it seemed to be working OK, but the nooks and crannies were being difficult. Now it's all stripped and ready for paint, but I cannot find the undercarriage. I was also going to work on the weathering of the orange and green Great Northern. I am going to seal it with semi-gloss and then fade the top and a bit of the lettering. I do have the undercarriage on hand for the box car. What are you folks using to strip paint from your rolling stock?
