Here’s a panoramic view of my Badger Creek Lumber Company, three photographs were cut and joined to get this effect. Problem was to keep the colour balance between each photo on an even keel.
Still I had fun with this one, -- Paul

On the subject of layout panoramas here's one that I did of my recently dismantled N-scale layout. My photography and modelling is not in the same league as Paul's but I really enjoyed creating the panorama. Its frustrating.... but good fun.

Paul and John. Both pix are in the "WOW" category. I guess you both had your camaras on a tripod for stability so you could aim the camara properly :D :D

And to think, My layout is so small that I only need to use one pic for a panorama! (jealous) :D
    Great work guys! ;)

    Paul/Dick,
It took about 8 shots to get the panorama simply because the layout and the room it was in were so small. I couldn't get far enough away (even on wide angle)to get more than a couple of feet in at a time.
The camera was on a tripod but only for steadiness as I had to keep moving it's position slightly to try and keep the same perspective.
You wouldn't believe the amount of trimming and re-sizing I had to do to get the finished result and even then it's far from perfect.
    Good fun though [IMG]
    Best wishes,
    John W.
P.S. Good to see you back John C.

I think you did a great job matching those photos up. I am in the process of tearing down my N gauge layout in preperation to building a larger double deck around the wall. I plan to take pictures as I progress. I just have a 35 mm camera but it does take pretty good pictures. It will be some time before I get started building tho as I am working full time at Wal-Mart, 10 am to 7 pm with Fridays and Sundays off. I was fully retired but with my wifes medication and utilities going sky high I had to go back to work.
    Keep up the good work

Those pics really made use of my side-scroll bar :D

Excellent stuff, both of you! My layout is too confined to even attempt that, I think [IMG]

John W. and Paul, Those entries make me sick. You not only out-model everbody, and out-photo everbody, but I'll bet you even made your own cameras!!!!!!!
Seriously, those are fantastic, or whatever word come to mind. I have a distinctive advantage over you guys, tho, I can improve everything about mine, and you can't. So there!!!! Har! Har! and a guffaw too. Love those pix, they give lots of ideas HOW to do things. I've got 2 Galloping Gooses running, but not quite finished yet. They run, but I'm not satisfied with the front wheels. How did you do yours, Shamus? Trying to get the wheels outside, and not the bearings has me stymied. Right now it's a Mickey Mouse setup and tends to derail too often.
