Thought you might like to see what is going on at Badger Creek
Top left is as it was, top right the new part, the trees top right is where part of the new area is.

Bottom left as it was, bottom right with new level and grades.

Paul, your layouts look better when they are under construction than mine do when they are finished! Wonderful work [IMG]

    Okay I give...

Any guesses how he is getting that much major construction done and not knocking over any trees or those logging facilities that are hoisting the logs.

I have to agree I hope mine looks half that good when its "finished".

Not only does it look great...its being done with the scenery being left behind undisturbed...kneeling to one of the "gods" of model railroading.

    Later folks

    Guys, and Paul,
I know how hes doing all that construction without disturbing the afore ground scenery!!!!! All his detail is so real looking hes got his little people and machery so detailed they got a life now by the means of his heavily blessed skills and they are doing the work!!! :D hes got them aminated to do so!!!! Thats all I can figure!!! But I know the real work involved I do it to I just need a scanner to show it!!! I do once in awhile move structures to prevent things that I don't want to happen from happening and thats the only way when working with pieces of the bench or table top that is almost impossible to work around things so I remove it for the time being and then one i'm clear of that area I put it back where it was meant to be in the same location I took it from. :D I'm also in the process of doing some rentavating on mine.......A new area is being added onto the area where my roundhouse and turntable is for a full steam servicing yard! :D I just had to. I like the industrial railroading and the service facilities that I had to add this and not just the turntable and roundhouse. Also a garden storage siding/ and or a spur to set the MOW 30 car train on so I can run frieght or passengers on my main lines I never had a track to back it into so I added one on the loco service facility. :D

Interesting work Paul and can't wait to see how you scenic it all.
Not easy to change a layout but we all do it at some time or other.

What material are you using. If it is homasote, it is the thinnest I have seen. Is the base plywood?

Hi Guys, thanks for your replies.

    To rsn48

On the photo can be seen 1/2" insulation board and underneath 1/2" chipboard. The dirt road bed is 1/8" plywood.
Now finished all ballast and the painting of the rails a rusty mess.
