Help! Parts Help Needed

    Does anyone know if parts are available for a Micro Trains SD-40-2? My son had a derailment accident and turned the power up to plow thru the wreck. It didn't work, so he left the power on with the engine stalled. One of the trucks gear boxes melted. The motor and engine are not damaged except for the truck. Any advice other than to sell the kid would be appreciated .

    I would suggest that you contact Joe at MTL. He can usually come up with parts.

    if it's one truck gear box you need, i have one i can give you. i don't have the sideframes for it, however.
