Okay, so no one wants my cars....I can live with that....but since I have them..might as well play with them a little, huh??? So I have to say I lov ethe cars, but the spacing btween them sucks, really sucks. So I need to know what to replace the couplers with to get them closer together....these are the first passenger cars I have ever owned, and I am not sure which MT's will do the trick..thanks in advance....
Although they are usually gorgeous, some brass cars need a lot of tweaking to get them to run reliably. If the wheels are in gauge, roll freely and the trucks are not warped or skewed, body mount Microtrain couplers usually do real well. Many times there are pre-drilled tapped holes to mount them. I am not familiar with the OMI cars so don't know what couplers came on them. I had a friend who swapped out the brass trucks for MT trucks on his SP Daylight train and has a nice running set.
