Today around 6:00pm (no, I didn't have my camera), I saw the Amtrak Silver Star headed northbound from Tampa through Orlando. At the tail end was the Pennsylvania RR parlor car 'Greenwich Harbor' a bit dirty but resplendent in Pennsy markings, keystones everywhere. I'm sorry I have no shot, but it's been raining here lately and I had left the camera home (I never learn). The conductor at the end of the car seemed gratified that someone stopped in their tracks to view the car passing. For you Pennsy fans, the cars are still out there! ACLer
I read about this last night. I think these kind of train spottings are always exciting. My wife was down in Pueblo CO the other day on a shooting safari. She always brings back pics for me of trains. This was a rather nice old unit to see still working despite the patch. [ March 05, 2005, 12:35 PM: Message edited by: traingeekboy ]
This site, from the National Railway Historical Society, mentions that the car is in private hands: http://www.nrhs.com/natdir/spring02/4-13limited.htm
