I noticed Athearn has discontinued their production of F59PHI's with the COASTER roadname. After a trip to Cali I know it one of the sharpest looking trains out there with its paint scheme. HERE I'M STARTING A PETITION FOR ITS REPRODUCTION. You complete a set without the leading F59. If you think this is a good cause please post your name for the petition I will forward to Athearn.
Your idea might get more exposure in the HO Forum. Where more people of a similar mindset might see it. So, I'll move this thread over there. Boxcab E50
AZL has the F59PHI in Coaster!!! http://www.ztrack.com/AZL/amerzlines_F59PHI.html Check out that link. Has a page full of F59PHI's with matching passenger cars! The COASTER is among them! I have the Dallas TRE with the Texas Flag plastered on the sides. Looks awesome and runs awesome too! Your only problem is you need to change scales! Hobo Tim
At one time the Coaster used the F-40's. I have pics of them using them when they first starting operating. Walthers has them in the Coaster scheme I think. As for the Athearn redoing them, good luck.
