Very cool. i've always liked selection of vehicles by kibri. I expect you'll do a very nice build on it.

 

Nice I've never seen one in HO before; I have one in N Scale.
I'll be interested in your build of this model. Looks like you've done your research so I'm sure it will work out to be a great project

 

Hi,

It will be a runner model but with no motorization.
For that reason I'll replace the original plastic wheels with metal wheels from ROCO recomended by Kibri as I use Märklin system.
DC metal wheels works find on AC system, but the opposite will cause you a lot of problems!!!

By the way, perhaps you could help me with the following question:
Parts numbered 52,53,54,55,56 and 57 should be painted in yellow or in green like part 51?

Making some nice progress indeed. Should be finished in no time. I have to read back over to see if you mentioned the weels being used. But looks great

I read back through and I think I understand the wheels are Marklin plastic?

 

Hi,

I used RAL 1004 made at a local store.
As far as I know RAL 1004 and RAL 1016 are the closest colours that can be used in Plasser & Theurer track maintenance machines and RAL 1016 is known by "Yellow 24" at Plasser.

Hi,

The Kibri models only includes plastic wheels that cannot be used unless you pretend to make a static diorama.
Kibri instructions sheets recomends ROCO metal wheels.

DC System:
Ref. 40194 for 9 mm wheel diameter
Ref. 40198 for 11mm wheel diameter

AC System (Märklin):
Ref. 85603 for 9 mm wheel diameter
Ref. 85600 for 11mm wheel diameter

I choosed to install DC wheels althought I use Märklin system because it allows me to use this model also on DC tracks.

Hi,

One step closer to finish this project!
My own decals produced with Corel Draw and successfully printed on a standard A4 sheet to check colours and dimensions of every single decal.


Next step: print the decals in a blank decal sheet from Colorado and apply them all one by one!
