I have an HO locomotive (PRR F7) that was made by PlayArt, according to the underside of it. When did PlayArt produce locomotives? Anything, please!

(The locomotive came with truck-mounted hornhook couplers and is made entirely of plastic, except of course for the weights and motor assembly. And the paint job wasn't the best!)

    Thanks!

Sorry, but my model railroading vocabulary isn't up to par. I assume you are asking about the motor and the drive system.

The motor is mounted on the rear truck, picking up current (as far as I can tell) from both trucks. Only the rear truck is powered. It is very similar to the motor assembly of the locomotives found in Bachmann train sets.
