Is it just me? Or does that Soo car have some damage to the ends? The ladders don't look straight? Especially at the left side of the photo? If so, the new camera is picking up details very nicely. Boxcab E50
Boxcab, Well, I had glued my fingers to that model more times..... I was glad it just stayed together!!! Well, it is proto.... Actually, it should be a UP car.....
Can't hide details from a good digicam pic What make/model is the camera? Looks like it does a good job!
Alan, The camera is the new Fuji Finepix S5000. 10X optical zoom is the best part! 3.2MP, more manual controls and bells & whistles than you can shake a railroad tie at! 500 bucks from Sears, altho I got mine from that auction site we don't mention here...
Great camera. I am looking to buy the predecessor of the S5000, the S602Z, it has a 6x zoom but takes the same cards as my current camera, so I would not have to get new cards.
Yeah, the xD cards my camera takes are tiny, but not every new camera is compatible with them. Most Fuji's and Olympus cameras are, as it is a Fujifilm/Olympus joint venture. I like the system--writes quickly. I have never run into a buffer on the S5000 when out shooting.
Better bad order that before some Fed inspector sees it, and gigs your employer! The trainmaster will be down and chewing on you really fast! Couldn't be a UP car. It's still on the tracks. Boxcab E50 [ 23. October 2003, 22:08: Message edited by: BoxcabE50 ]
BALOU LINE, Stock MT.I like it too, and wouldn't mind too much having a few more, but not at MT's price!
The first thing I noticed in your samples was how sharp they are. It looks like you made a good choice for the macro work required for shooting models. I have a felling you will also be happy with how it handles full-size, as well. Yep, it's a keeper.
Peirce, Do you have an S5000? I love mine! Most all the latest pics in my rapidly growing Rail Images album are from the Fuji. I have just begun to tap into the wealth of bells and whistles in that camera.
This is why I am looking to buy a Fuji. They have a wonderful macro range, just right for us N scalers
The macro range is just sweet. From about 3" wide, to 30"+ @ full telephoto. The shots above, were taken at 8", and the engine shot was taken at 17", telephoto.
Here's some new stuff: To see more click here . What's missing here??? Something eastern: Something western: *patched, but clean!*
