The definition of a bad day... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHl-tOKE0jw (Mods feel free to move this, wasn't sure exactly where to put it)
It's OK here. Or Railfan Photos/Discussions, or the UP Forum. Didn't look like that first train was slowing. I wonder if they knew they'd been hit? The second one sure knew. I feel sorry for those RR personnel unwillingly drawn into her foolish actions.
I read the news article the day after it happened. Seeing it live is different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
And here I only expected ONE train. Ouchies. I guess some people watch Smokey and The Bandit and think it's a documentary.

The train stopped a whole lot faster than I thought it would. Hope the beotch goes to jail for a while.
That cop was lucky, he was between the crossing gate and the train when it hit the car then ran the full length of the gate to get out rather than ducking underneath. I wonder if they get training on how to act safely around railroad tracks, he seemed have his mind set on taking the suspect into custody and blinkers on to his surroundings.
Yeah an ex cop I know in Omaha said they don't get much training in that department. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
I can attest- when UP 844 made its last run thru Oklahoma, I was waiting up at Wagoner, OK for it to come through, and one of Wagoner's finest had his car parked on the tracks, and the chief and his lieutenant were casually chatting away, even after the UP special agent warned them of the problem. Not sure what the town's mayor thought of the picture taken of his boys blatantly violating the law in full view of the public......
