If this works perhaps I will try posting some other photos of the n-scale layout that I am working on.

Here is the attempt at a posted image:

This is not the original posted image since I apparently deleted it somewhere along the way. (This will explain why some of the comments that follow may seem to be referring to something different--they are!)

Very impressive! Looks like you have plenty of space to make a realistic layout. I like the open 'uncluttered' look. My layout is much more cramped, with not a lot of open space!

Yes wide open spaces, most modellers (including myself) tend to cram in as much track as humanely possible. Do you have a plan of your layout so we can see?

All in all its looking great i look forward to seeing more pics

There are more pictures on the links below my signature. Yes, it is a very ambitious project! I had hoped to have some help in building it, but there is a shortage of workers in my area. I had one other enthusiastic person helping, but his house burned to the ground recently so his priorities got changed.

Here are some drawings of the proposed layout.

Anyone what to move to Eastern Oregon to help with the layout?

I would not mind helping, but not sure I would live long enough to see it completed :D

The "uncluttered" look is probably partly due to the fact that little has been done (scenery wise). I do want to have the railroad tracks running through a scene only once wherever possible. Perhaps that is what you meant by "uncluttered." There are going to be some places, however, where more tracks than what I consider "ideal" are going to have to be. Time will tell just how much more cluttered the layout will appear. At this point the track is almost all built between LaGrande and North Powder.

Who has time to fish? I've been working on the RR whenever I have time, which isn't as much as I need to get it completed in this lifetime.

Guess I better try this new posting feature.
