And to make matters worse...I also am trying to get JMRI and my PR 4 to work on my desktop PC !! PR4 + JAVA + JMRI = 'ZILCH' !!! :-( Older Desktop Gaming PC. Windoze 7 Ultimate. First you will need to uninstall Java 6 ,DON'T deleat it . it must be uninstalled . If you go to the JMJI website there are instructions there for upgrading to the new JMRI 5.0 /5.2 . Also use the Java from the Azul {I think} website , its much eaiser to install . And use the JMRI recomended version of Java 11 not the newest one . Sometimes the newest version can cause problems . Yeah, all you had to do was drink Java, get it While running, well pushing the trains. Still have a newer version of one of those!
I always keep my JMRI up to date , so the switch to 5.0 was fairly easy . Get that running first , then add in the PR4 . It should go better that way I think . Mike
