Walt you did all the job designing bricks and supporting my project. I realle like the job you did ! There is some more job with bricks part. Some "other colour bricks" must be made on the other side of the bridge and weathering should be apply. I will have to make handrails on sides of the bridge as well. And finally I belive that the final result - building a module with full bridge will be important. Still a lot to be do be done !

At the moment I think the final look of module will be inspired by this photo:

Now that I had seen how you have brought out the brick I wish I would have did the other bridge this way! It had three arched ways on it on both sides and the truss in the middle! this has inspired me to try to find a way to design more brick type pieces! the brick work takes up a lot of angles that make the file to big to upload at Shapeways and there bounding box is under 12inches long so a complete bridge couldn't be printed but, put in to section this bridge was just under the file size by a few woo woo woo. It's like putting rivets in a box car each sphere has so many sides each counts up for the file size I had used geosphere and it lower the woo woo woo's. Lower it from 68MB to 21MB I guess you have to be an expert on this stuff when designing! I'M just impressed with what you do!

    Walt,
Do not worry - I can still find some brick made items for my modules but they surely be quite universal in use. That is true that some extra painting and weathering can add a lot to brick's models.

I just did this turntable that had brick around the top frame of the turntable. This turntable was used for 3 access tracks! it's a 100 foot long, 6inches long in Z scale. the first time I tried to print they said it had to many triangles so it didn't upload, so I went back in and took most of the triangles out of each brick so they were just a block or rectangle! I finely got it to print so now it just not the size but triangles to! But the bridge you have printed at 100% so it should print again with out trouble!

New Archistories carton railing used on bridge designed by @southernnscale and 3D printed. The carton railing was impregnated using CA glue and they spray printed (Tamiya cans black and brown)

Is there a reason you didn't do the same amount of detail painting inside the arches and center sections ....... or are you still working on it?

Actually it is a good point ! It is not easy to paint inside the bridge but I think I can work a bit on visible edges...

I have finished brick part of the bridge @southernnscale designed for me on Shapeways. This was enriched by Archistories railings, painted and weathered.

Well! WOW! WOW! Those bricks really stand out with the paint job you did and you got the inside too, sure make it look really outstanding! I like the weathering also where some water must have ran down and left marks! you must have a couple of hour in that paint job looks really professional done master at brick painting! thanks for sharing!!!!
