Stunning work. Simply stunning.
Pawel outstanding job! This scenery look really close to being realistic! the grass and the dirt roads. I hope when the time come to start the scenery on mine it can meet the same look. the only difference is I'm not doing a area in real life! thanks for sharing very impressive. It would be great to see some of those Steam Engines and car you have none making there way thru the country side!!! After looking thru the photo again your back ground and the trees you made really fit together very well like you just pulled them out!
Very nice! Like that the foreground blends so well into the backdrop.
Hi Pawel, that is very nice scenery you are creating!
Thank you for positive comments.
My lessons lerned from the backdrop part of the project are:
- it is better to have the backdrop first and then create details of scenery. It is really not easy to find a photo which fits what you have already done with the scenery !
- it is good to have panoramic photos. In most cases Z scale requires more length of the photo. My backdrop is actually made of 3 or 4 separate photos !
- It is good to have graphical designer as a friend - to patchwork your backdrop from separate photos. It would be very doifficult to do with HD photos. My photos are not extremaly sharp - it helps to apply graphical tricks.
- some things which do not fit perfectly can be hidden behind bushes or trees and other objects.
To finish withe the module I added protective case. It can be displayed both using legs and can be put on the shelf as well.
This makes it a nice display diorama.
Hi Pawel, what kind of material did you use for building the cover?
The cover is made of plexiglas. It was laser cut to fit the size and glued together by a advertising agency specializing with all sorts of POS and visual advertising materials.
Hey! It looks exceptional looking background! I looks great! another outstanding piece of work! The trees also fit right in with the scenery! I had gone out and bought about 6 3foot x 6 foot sheet of plexiglass by .118inch thick and was thinking of setting it up like they do Fish aquarium box to protect the scenery on my new layout.
I had some time to work on "The forrest" on the module I am currently working on. The whole module is very simple and the scenery is practically finished. I think I may add some small "extras" - maybe some cows or some farming equipment ...
I tried to make this forrest as real as I can - with some dead trees, bushes, grass or moss places:
Looks good Pawel, great looking trees.
I had a problem wit Marklin signals. Original drives do not work good. The one for the semaphore was in working condition prior the installation. It did not want to work when I placed it on the module. I had to "destroy" the original drive. It was replaced wit linear servo and the signal was installed again. Electricity is working good. Here you can see evening STOP displayed ...
Finally I found somebody to design for me main station building of Nojewo - this is typical design building - very cammon in area of Poznan.
Originally (at German time) it looked liked this: https://www.bazakolejowa.pl/foto/1024/14…dc117-70183.jpg
Some years ago it was getting ruined: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nojewo_(pr…wa_Nojewo_1.jpg
Last year it was bought and reconstruction is going on: https://www.bazakolejowa.pl/foto/1024/14…cbd60-27459.jpg
My starting point for Nojewo looks like this:
I already started some painting
Looking terrific. Will you / your friend bring this to the market? I am sure there are at least in Europe people interested in a kit of this type of railwaystation.
This is might be a good idea ... I do not plan to open model railway business myself. In case anyone is nterested in having this model I can help to get one !
Some progress with the Nojewo station project. I am satisfied with the quality of design - all parts fits to each other very well
To make this model looking more realistic I add to original lasercut carton some small elements:
The ends of construction wood are made using 1x1 mm small pieces of plastic rod:
I use small pieces of wood on the edges of the roof:
The building got the roof with wooden edges:
