Some interesting choices there, like the Rock Island yellow and grey (ex UP) ones, are they going to model the rust as well? And no UP itself? Surely the UP was the whole point of doing B units? Everybody else had an occasional B, UP had an occasional A unit!!! Still, I guess for a UP unit you could re-letter the Rock ones? They had pretty minimal lettering IIRC....

    What cost?
Are they offering separate "B" units?

I wonder if these are actually in stock, or is Walthers just feeling out the market again to see how many might sell in a year or so?

A "sticker shock" causing $190! I'm guessing you'll be able to get them a good bit less though.

Apparently not, they are all listed as being AB sets, with both units powered. (Interestingly different from the previous E's/PA's/Erie builts etc...which were powered A's and dummy B's)

They are just listed in the new announcements section, not in stock yet, my guess would be sometime in the first half of 2003 though.

I for one would LOVE to see a re-release of Frisco "racehorse" Es. Show them Rio Grande boys in Grand Juntion what a REAL E-unit looks like :D :D :D

OK, my opinion.....but the fact that P2K is coming out with more E8s is a very good thing, regardless of paint scheme.

I know the offered B&O sets got my undivided attention. Till I seen the price!!!!!!!

I'm in need of 2, E-8 B units! To go with the 2 A units I have to make a long drag of ABBA lash up... :D

I have a Model Power E-8, and a Rivarossi E-8, both A units.. But needs painted to the B&O Blue, Gray, and Black.. And then to find a set of B units!
