I have received a prototype of Aztec's new track cleaning car. I have posted some photos of my particular unit. ------------------ Keep on Track'N at www.phcomputing.com Harold Riley
IT LOOKS LIKE IT OUGHT TO DO A GOOD JOB CLEANING TRACK. I HAVE A OLDER AZTEC TRACK CLEANER AND HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH IT . I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR WEBSITE. I JUST WISH I COULD GET MY PICTURES AS CLEAR AS YOURS. I GUESS ILL HAVE TO GET A BETTER CAMERA.DAN http://gotrains.homestead.com/MYRAILMODEL.html
Dan, here's a secret and don't tell anyone. My n-scale images of engines and rolling stock are scanned and not photos. I place the units on my scanner and WOW it's a scanned image. Thanks for visiting my page. ------------------ Keep on Track'N at www.phcomputing.com Harold Riley [This message has been edited by sd75mac (edited 21 November 2000).]
I GUESS I'LL GO BUY A SCANNER. THATS THE ONLY THING I DONT HAVE. I'VE BEEN USING A DIGITAL CAMERA. BUT, IT HAS'NT BEEN DOING WHAT I EXPECTED IT TO. YOUR SCAS ARE REALLY NICE. DAN

Thanks for visiting my page.

I have to second the "other" Harold's "secret"... the flatbed scanner is a very cheap (and highly effective) way to get good images of N Scale items. I started using it when I was selling items on eBay a few years ago! Chessie ------------------ Harold Hodnett Fan of NS, CSX, and their predecessors!
quote:
Originally posted by NS: I HAVE A POLAROID 320 FUN FLASH. IT MAKE GOOD IMAGES OUTSIDE BUT NOT INSIDE. EVEN WITH THE FLASH.

Unfortunately, not many digital cameras have a good onboard flash. I chased down the specs on the Polaroid and I noted it takes pics at 320x240 with heavy pixelation. That kind of restricts it's capabilities but it seems to work well outside so maybe take the trains outside for a photo shoot? As for the scanner I have done the same in the past for insurance pics. Apart from the shadow on the departure side it works just fine. Gary. ------------------ Gary A. Rose The Unofficial TC&W page TrainBoard Moderator and Member No.377 N to the Nth degree!
