Hello everyone. Here are April's first selections. r_i_straw with an assortment of SP views u18b with an MILW EP2 at what appears to be the 1949 Chicago Railroad Fair and txronharris with a BNSF stack train
u18b's entry includes what I think is a Columbia Electric, though it could be a Detroit Electric. If it hadn't been for Henry Ford (gas autos) and John Rockefeller (gasoline), the US might have led the world with electric cars ..... oh well, too soon old, too late smart.
The old silver/red warbonnets are getting pretty long in the tooth. Still great to see them on the BNSF. The shots posted from me are just copies of post cards from my collection. I did not take them as I was not into railroad photography if I was even alive when they were taken.
Every time I see a view of the old SP narrow gauge, I think of westerns watched as a boy. Such as Gene Autry stuff....
