Hi all! Hope all is well; here's the selections. NSFan14 with a CSX special Keith with a gaggle of assorted diesels Jim Wiggin with the Amtrak veterans unit Hardcoaler with a NS freight co_riff with a KCS SD70ACe and r_i_straw with a UP R/C unit
Nice set, Bill. Our veterans need all the recognition they can get. Those guys in WWII liberated my folks' village at the beginning of '45. A few weeks later and my Dad would have been drafted (i.e. tossed on the truck) into the German army and who knows what would have happened. The war ended and my Mom and Dad went on to marry (in '52) and have 4 kids (I was #3). So I'm especially grateful to US WW2 vets for making my life possible and for sacrificing themselves to ensure the freedoms we have today.
Yes we owe our Veterans a lot. It's a debt we can only repay by giving our Vets all the respect and honour they so deserve. Thank You Veterans. My Dad served in France in WW2 under General G.S. Patton. Shot up near Metz and sent home. Myself USAF 1966-70. Viet Nam
Is it (properly) a gaggle or a flock of diesels? I like the CSX shot, at that distance the cars look like later MoPac ones!
The NWP unit was shot at the Great Western in Loveland, CO. Seems to'be a regular unit! See it fairly often when mynfolks and I check the GW to see if there's anything of interest. They've got a rather eclectic assortment of stuff there!!
Hey thanks for choosing one of mine! That Vet unit was tied up at Galesburg on display for Galesburg RR Days this past June. Might need to paint one up in N!
